Hunt, Gather, Parent

In her own prologue, Doucleff describes bringing a background in chemistry and science reporting to a problem she felt unable to solve at home. She says observing families during a Yucatán trip redirected her reporting toward parenting, and that subsequent journeys with Rosy became the basis of this book.
