Liar's Poker

In the Preface, Lewis identifies himself as a former Salomon Brothers bond salesman who worked on Wall Street and in London. He describes the book as an attempt to explain the events and attitudes around him, acknowledges excursions beyond his immediate personal story and says he chose to tell the story rather than continue living it. These are the author’s statements about his position and purpose.
